Dropp in Bilston, West Midlands is seeking an experienced TIG welder for a full-time role. You will weld a range of metals to drawings, prepare materials, fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts, and inspect welds for quality.

You will also set up welding stations and maintain a safe, clean work area. The successful candidate will have proven TIG welding experience across different materials, sheet metal fabrication knowledge, and the ability to read technical drawings, along with a solid grasp

Precision TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components for a busy West Midlands manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding a range of metals to drawings and specifications
• Preparing materials with hand tools, power tools and welding equipment
• Fabricating and assembling sheet metal parts
• Inspecting welds for quality and making repairs where needed
• Setting up and maintaining welding stations
• Keeping a clean, safe work area

Skills and requirements

Proven TIG welding experience across different materials, sheet metal fabrication and assembly knowledge, and the ability to read technical drawings. Good mechanical aptitude and a firm grip on welding safety.
