Job summary

Masstemps Ltd. is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing company near the Aston area. You will weld aluminium and other materials, set up TIG equipment, and ensure components meet drawings and specifications.

You will prepare materials, produce neat welds, inspect quality, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role suits reliable individuals who can work independently or in a team, with an afternoon shift from 14:00 to 22:00.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong TIG welding skills, especially aluminium.
• Ability to produce clean welds with consistent appearance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specs.
• Knowledge of welding prep, consumables and equipment settings.
• Experience with sheet metal and fabricated components is desirable.
• Able to inspect own work and maintain high quality standards.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or in a busy team.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld aluminium and other materials to produce high-quality fabricated components.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to required specs.
• Weld components accurately per drawings and job specs.
• Prepare materials prior to welding (cleaning, cutting, joint prep).
• Produce neat, consistent welds with high quality finish.
• Perform visual inspection of welds and identify defects for rework.
• Use appropriate welding consumables, tooling and equipment for different applications.
• Work with sheet metal and fabricated components, maintaining tolerances.
• Complete basic finishing and fettling as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area and follow health & safety procedures.

THE ROLE

• . TIG weld aluminium and other materials to produce high-quality fabricated components.
• . Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to the required specifications.
• . Weld components accurately to engineering drawings, weld procedures and job specifications.
• . Prepare materials and components prior to welding, including cleaning, cutting and joint preparation.

ABOUT YOU

• .Previous experience as a
• TIG Welder within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• .Strong TIG welding experience, particularly on

• .Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
