Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in Brierley Hill. This full-time, temporary ongoing role offers £15–£17 per hour with a Monday-Thursday 8:00–16:30 and Friday 08:00–13:30 schedule.

You will weld thin-gauge aluminium and mild steel (1.2–1.5mm), interpret drawings, and maintain high workmanship standards while contributing to a skilled production team. A weld test will assess your ability.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience.
• Strong experience welding 1.2mm – 1.5mm aluminium and mild steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is recruiting an experienced TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in Brierley Hill.

This full-time, temporary ongoing position pays £15 to £17 per hour, working Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 1.30pm.

Role

• Welding thin-gauge aluminium and mild steel between 1.2mm and 1.5mm, producing neat, accurate joints to drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining high workmanship standards and contributing to a skilled production team are essential.
• Interpreting technical drawings and approaching quality carefully.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are expected.

About you

• Proven TIG welding experience
• Strong experience welding 1.2mm - 1.5mm aluminium and mild steel
• Experience working with thin-gauge materials
• The ability to produce a consistent, high-quality weld
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately to drawings and specifications
• A reliable and hardworking approach

A weld test will form part of the recruitment process. This will allow the client to assess your practical TIG welding ability, including the quality and finish of your welds and your experience working with 1.2mm - 1.5mm aluminium and mild steel.

Working hours Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4.30pm 30-minute unpaid break Friday: 8am - 1.30pm No break on Friday due to the shorter working day.
