Market 36 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a TIG Welder / Fabricator for a Halstead-based role. You will weld aluminium and stainless steel using TIG, fabricate from drawings, and assemble components to tight specifications.

The role offers consistent overtime and a modern workshop environment. Regular overtime at 1.5x, a profit-related bonus, and generous holiday entitlement accompany a temporary-to-permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience on aluminium and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid employment history in welding/fabrication.
• Desirable experience with MIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel.
• Awareness of health and safety best practices.
• Willingness to obtain welding qualifications/coding.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder / Fabricator on behalf of our client based in Halstead on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding, including butt and fillet welds, on marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel.
• Fabricate and assemble components to precise specifications using engineering drawings.
• Manufacture, fit and weld components for a range of products.
• Maintain high standards of quality, including self-inspection of finished work.
• Utilise jigs and fixtures to support efficient and consistent manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to the development of welding and fabrication processes for new products.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A solid employment history within a welding or fabrication environment.
• Experience with MIG welding aluminium and stainless steel is desirable.
• Awareness of and commitment to health and safety best practices.
• Willingness and ability to obtain relevant welding coding and qualifications.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.

Working Pattern & Benefits

• Regular overtime available at enhanced rates of 1.5x standard pay.
