Bespoke Career Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Production MIG/TIG Welder for a busy Aldridge manufacturing site. The role focuses on high-quality production welding of thin-gauge sheet-metal components, requiring accuracy and tidy welds with minimal finishing.

Applicants should have prior MIG or TIG welding experience in production, sheet-metal or light fabrication. Training and ongoing support from the recruitment team are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in production MIG/TIG welding essential.
• Welding on sheet metal and thin-gauge materials.
• Ability to produce clean, neat, consistent welds with good heat control.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.

Responsabilités

• Completing MIG and TIG welding on sheet-metal components.
• Welding with thin-gauge materials up to 3mm.
• Producing clean, accurate and visually tidy welds.
• Welding components consistently within a production environment.
• Setting welding equipment to suit different materials and thicknesses.
• Reading and following basic engineering drawings and job instructions.
• Preparing components before welding, including cleaning and positioning.
• Using jigs and fixtures to ensure correct assembly.
• Controlling heat input to minimise distortion.
• Checking welds for appearance, strength and accuracy.
• Removing minor spatter and basic finishing.

Pay: £14.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–4:00pm; Friday, 7:00am–1:00pm

Production MIG and TIG Welding Job in Aldridge

Bespoke Career Solutions is recruiting an experienced Production MIG / TIG Welder for a busy manufacturing company in the Aldridge area.

You will be completing high-quality production welding on sheet-metal components, working mainly with thin-gauge material up to 3mm. The position requires accuracy, consistency and the ability to produce clean, tidy welds with minimal finishing required.

Applicants must have previous MIG or TIG welding experience within a production, sheet-metal or light-fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing MIG and TIG welding on sheet-metal components
• Working with thin-gauge materials up to approximately 3mm
• Producing clean, accurate and visually tidy welds
• Welding components consistently within a production environment
• Setting welding equipment to suit different materials and thicknesses
• Reading and following basic engineering drawings and job instructions
• Preparing components before welding, including cleaning and positioning
• Using jigs and fixtures to ensure components are assembled correctly
• Controlling heat input to minimise distortion and damage to thin material
• Checking completed welds for appearance, strength and accuracy
• Removing minor spatter and completing basic finishing work when required
• Reporting defects, damaged materials or equipment issuesMeeting daily production and quality requirements
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workstation
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous production MIG or TIG welding experience is essential
• Experience welding sheet metal and thin-gauge materials
• Ability to produce clean, neat and consistent welds
• Good understanding of welding settings and heat control
• Ability to work accurately without distorting thin materials
• Confidence using hand tools, grinders and basic fabrication equipment
• Ability to understand basic engineering drawings and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of completed work
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a production team
