Job summary

Pertemps Worcester is recruiting for a TIG Welder to join a Pershore-based specialist engineering and fabrication company. The role involves producing high-quality aluminium and stainless-steel fabrications in a precision-focused manufacturing setting, working from engineering drawings and maintaining quality throughout the process.

You will set up welding equipment, conduct visual checks, and ensure compliance with welding procedures and safety standards, contributing to timely project delivery

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience, particularly with aluminium.
• Experience in coded or regulated environments.
• Ability to read detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or relevant welding qualification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld aluminium and stainless components from engineering drawings.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
• Perform visual checks on welds and finished products.
• Maintain clean and safe welding area and comply with quality standards.
• Support production targets and project deadlines.
• Complete training to maintain welding qualifications.

TIG Welder

Pershore

Monday to Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Friday: 7:45am-1:00pm

£16 - £18.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialist engineering and fabrication company based in Pershore. The role will involve producing high-quality aluminium and stainless-steel fabrications within a precision-led manufacturing environment.

You will work from engineering drawings, set up welding equipment, complete visual checks, and ensure all work is produced to the required quality standards.

Duties Include:

• Carrying out TIG welding on aluminium and stainless-steel components
• Working with material thicknesses ranging from approximately 1.5mm to 30mm
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Setting up and operating TIG welding equipment
• Completing visual checks on finished welds
• Working to regulated welding procedures and quality standards
• Supporting production targets and project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe welding area
• Completing training to maintain relevant welding qualifications

Requirements:

• Proven TIG welding experience, particularly with aluminium
• Experience working within a coded or regulated environment
• Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Previous coding to ISO 9606 is beneficial
• NVQ, City & Guilds, or a relevant welding qualification is beneficial
• Experience in defence, aerospace, motorsport, or similar sectors is desirable
