Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd in Pershore seeks a skilled TIG Welder to join a defence sector manufacturer, fabricating aluminium and stainless-steel components for safety-critical applications.

You will work on highly regulated, precision projects in a modern Worcestershire facility, with ongoing training to keep certifications current and opportunities for long-term career development within a trusted engineering partner.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with TIG (141) welding aluminium.
• Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in welding, fabrication, or a relevant engineering subject.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications ranging from 1.5mm - 30mm.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 standards.
• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Continue internal and external training to maintain qualification to BS EN ISO 9606.

Salary £14.34-£18.50 per hour

Desirable

• Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, or similar industries
• Previous coding to ISO 9606-1/2
• NVQ/City & Guilds in welding, fabrication, or a relevant engineering subject
