Wright Staff is seeking a skilled TIG Welder (141) based in Pershore to work on safety-critical aluminium and stainless-steel fabrications for defence sector projects. You will join a team delivering precision welds to tight tolerances in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven TIG (141) welding aluminium.
  • Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications from 1.5mm to 30mm.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct visual inspection of welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 standards.
  • Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Continue internal and external training to maintain qualification to BS EN ISO 9606.

Salary £14.34-£18.50 per hour

Duties
  • Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications ranging from 1.5mm - 30mm

Essential skills
  • Proven experience with TIG (141) welding aluminium
  • Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
Desirable
  • Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, or similar industries
  • Previous coding to ISO 9606-1/2
  • NVQ/City & Guilds in welding, fabrication, or a relevant engineering subject
