Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial is recruiting a skilled TIG Welder to join a leading fabrication and engineering company in Alcester.

You will perform high-precision TIG welding on stainless steel and exotic alloys (Inconel and Titanium) with material thickness 0.5mm to 1.2mm, ensuring clean welds that pass strict quality inspections.

The role offers days and nights shifts with on-site parking and a friendly, modern working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years TIG welding experience on exotic materials.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and heat control.
• Able to pass an on-site welding test.

Pertemps are recruiting for a skilled TIG Welder to join our client who are a leading fabrication and engineering company.

The person for the role will perform high‑precision TIG welding on stainless steel and exotic alloys (like Inconel and Titanium).

Material thickness 0.5mm to 1.2mm

The weld must look clean and pass strict quality inspections.

Pay rate Days initially £18.54 rising to £19.15 per hour Nights £20.54 rising to £21.15 per hour

Days shift - 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday - Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm Nights - 4.30pm to 2.30am Monday to Wednesday - Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Welding: High-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and exotic metals.
• Purging: Set up back‑purging to ensure clean welds.
• Blueprint Reading: Read engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• Metal Prep: Clean, cut, and fit metal parts before welding.
• Quality Check: Inspect welds for defects like cracks or gaps.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of TIG welding experience with exotic materials.
• Skills: Excellent hand‑eye coordination and heat control.
• Testing: Ability to pass a practical on‑site welding test.
• Safety: Deep understanding of workshop safety and PPE.
