Job summary

Northern Trust in the City of London is seeking an experienced Lead to the TPMO, driving design, implementation and ongoing evolution of third party risk management across the enterprise. You will collaborate with global business units to ensure compliant processes, reporting, and controls while guiding a multi‑year program plan.

The role requires deep knowledge of third‑party risk lifecycle, stakeholder management, and strong analytical skills with experience in risk reporting and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of related work experience in financial services / risk consulting preferred
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Risk is highly preferred
• Thorough understanding of third-party risk management with experience in risk scoring and reporting
• Knowledge of global risk regulatory requirements (US and UK) and related frameworks

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic thought leadership in designing and operationalizing third party risk management programs
• Design and rollout enterprise-wide third party risk management processes and manage maturity
• Create program artifacts, risk methodologies, and reporting thresholds
• Develop gap analyses to identify risks and design mitigating controls
• Maintain program documentation, training materials, and desk procedures
• Develop operating models and TPM training materials; oversee training performance
• Monitor regulatory updates and adjust programs to meet new requirements
• Review user specifications for technology enablement and process automation
• Lead program activities and act as TPM program subject matter expert for tech enablement
