Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced TPMO Lead to guide the operational support of the Third Party Management Office within the First Line of Defense. You will design and implement program lifecycle elements, oversee governance, and collaborate with global units to meet regulatory expectations and mitigate risk.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, deep third-party risk knowledge, and ability to drive cross‑functional initiatives across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of related work experience.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Risk preferred.
• Understanding of global risk regulatory requirements (US/UK).
• Experience with third-party risk management lifecycle.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and operationalize third party risk management programs.
• Collaborate with global business units to implement processes and oversight.
• Develop program artifacts, risk methodologies, service categories and reporting thresholds.
• Create gap analyses to identify risks requiring risk-mitigating controls.
• Lead TPM training and oversee training performance for program areas designed.
