Red Dot Search UK Limited is seeking a Third Party Motor Claims Handler to join our Bolton team. The role covers investigation, liability assessment, and negotiation for third-party and credit hire claims, with a strong focus on service quality.

Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with on-site location in Bolton and flexible/hybrid working patterns after probation. Salary ranges from £27,479 to £35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Motor claims experience is required.
• Third party or credit hire experience is strongly preferred.
• GCSEs English and Maths (C/4 or above) are expected.
• Willingness to work toward the CII certificate; supported by the company.

Responsibilities

• Handle third-party vehicle and property damage claims from investigation to resolution.
• Investigate liability and determine fault.
• Manage complex files including high-value claims and liability disputes.
• Assess credit hire claims and negotiate charges.
• Liaise with solicitors, insurers, and accident management companies.
• Identify potentially fraudulent activity for review.
• Prioritise workload while supporting team duties.
• Provide consistently high-quality service to all claim parties.

Third Party Motor Claims Handler (TPPD) | Bolton | £27,479 – £35,000

Location: Bolton, BL7 (on site)

Type: Permanent — full-time

Hours: 35 hours per week — Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Flexible/hybrid working patterns available.

Salary: £27,479 – £35,000 dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Handle third-party vehicle and property damage claims: manage all aspects including investigation, negotiation and resolution.
• Investigate liability: work with other departments and conduct own investigations to determine fault and liability.
• Manage complex files: more advanced cases including high-value claims and those with liability disputes.
• Work with credit hire claims: assess and manage credit hire aspects including validation, negotiation, and challenge of excessive hire charges.
• Liaise with external parties: solicitors, insurers and accident management companies.
• Identify fraud: recognise and elevate potentially fraudulent activity for further review.
• Prioritise workload and team duties: organise own caseload while supporting wider team responsibilities.
• Provide excellent service: consistently high standard with all parties to the claim.

Candidate Profile

• Motor claims experience required.
• Third party or credit hire experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills — confident across multiple systems.
• Active listening and relationship building.
• High attention to detail and sound judgement on liability.
• Holds or willing to work towards the CII Certificate — fully funded and supported.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
