Red Dot Search UK Limited seeks a Third Party Motor Claims Handler in Bolton for a permanent, 35-hour work week. The role focuses on handling third-party motor and property damage claims, with strong emphasis on liability assessment and negotiation across multiple systems.

You will investigate liability, manage complex files, and liaise with solicitors and insurers. The package includes extra holidays, pension, and on-site parking, with support to pursue CII qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' motor claims experience required for upper salary.
• Third party or credit hire experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills across multiple systems.
• Active listening and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail with sound liability judgement.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at C/4 or above; willingness to pursue CII.

Responsibilities

• Handle third-party vehicle and property damage claims through investigation, negotiation and resolution.
• Investigate liability and determine fault in collaboration with other departments.
• Manage complex files including high-value claims and disputed liability.
• Work with credit hire claims: validate, negotiate and challenge excessive charges.
• Liaise with solicitors, insurers and accident management companies.
• Identify potential fraud and escalate appropriately.

Third Party Motor Claims Handler (TPPD) | Bolton | £24,479 – £35,000

Type: Permanent — full-time

Hours: 35 hours per week — Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Flexible working patterns available.

Key Responsibilities

Handle third-party vehicle and property damage claims: manage all aspects including investigation, negotiation and resolution.

Investigate liability: work with other departments and conduct own investigations to determine fault and liability.

Manage complex files: more advanced cases including high-value claims and those with liability disputes.

Work with credit hire claims: assess and manage credit hire aspects including validation, negotiation, and challenge of excessive hire charges.

Liaise with external parties: solicitors, insurers and accident management companies.

Identify fraud: recognise and escalation potentially fraudulent activity for further review.

Prioritise workload and team duties: organise own caseload while supporting wider team responsibilities.

Provide excellent service: consistently high standard with all parties to the claim.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 2 years' motor claims experience required to be considered for the upper end of the salary range.

Third party or credit hire experience strongly preferred.

Excellent customer service and computer skills — confident across multiple systems.

Active listening and relationship building.

High attention to detail and sound judgement on liability.

Holds or willing to work towards the CII Certificate — fully funded and supported.

GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
