Job summary

The Community Physiotherapy Service at Radcliffe is seeking a motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team. You will assist in delivering patient treatments in the community, including home visits and clinics, working under supervision of qualified staff.

You will manage an active caseload, coordinate care, and help evaluate outcomes across diverse settings. NHS experience and CPD commitment are valued, along with a full driving licence and good communication skills.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G).
  • Care Certificate, Experience of working within a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering treatment programmes to patients in the community.
  • Work as a lone worker to coordinate and evaluate individual patient care.
  • Provide support for patients in homes, clinics, and residential settings.
  • undertake tasks delegated by qualified staff under supervision.

Job description

The Community Physiotherapy Service based at Radcliffe are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our team alongside our experienced Physiotherapy staff. As a Therapy Assistant, you will be required to assist our team in the delivery of treatment of patients, working in their own homes or in residential settings. You will be working without direct supervision undertaking tasks delegated by qualified staff and will be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating individual patient care., To implement treatment programmes to patients in the community who have been assessed initially by qualified staff in the community service. To take responsibility for an active caseload under the direction of the qualified therapy staff. This will include the treatment of patients in their own homes, clinics, residential and nursing care settings, working as a lone worker. Our community services in Bury are a mix of professionals from health, social and voluntary sectors, bringing together the benefits of a joined up approach to health and social care. The Community Physiotherapy Service is based at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre.   • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
  • Care Certificate, Experience of working within a therapeutic environment
  • Experience of working within a team, Previous NHS experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
  • Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Previous community experience as a therapy assistant
  • Previous experience of lone working in health care, Good communication (written and verbal skills)
  • Basic IT skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • UK driving license with access to vehicle to complete community visits, Previous experience working with physiotherapy/MDT teams
