Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust’s Community Physiotherapy Service based at Radcliffe is seeking a Therapy Assistant to help deliver treatment to patients in the community and in their homes, working without direct supervision under qualified staff.

You will manage an active caseload, travel across the Trust footprint, and contribute to coordinated care in a multidisciplinary environment. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this community role.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G).
  • Care Certificate.
  • Experience of working within a therapeutic environment.
  • Experience of working within a team.
  • UK driving license with access to vehicle to complete community visits.

Responsibilities

  • To implement treatment programmes to patients in the community who have been assessed initially by qualified staff in the community service.
  • To take responsibility for an active caseload under the direction of the qualified therapy staff. This will include the treatment of patients in their own homes, clinics, residential and nursing care settings, working as a lone worker.

Therapy Assistant

The Community Physiotherapy Service based at Radcliffe are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our team alongside our experienced Physiotherapy staff.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be required to assist our team in the delivery of treatment of patients, working in their own homes or in residential settings. You will be working without direct supervision undertaking tasks delegated by qualified staff and will be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating individual patient care.

An ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs is essential, and a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be essential for this community role.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

The Community Physiotherapy Service is based at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre. We are a small team, providing advice and treatment to Bury residents who have a physical disability.
