Therapy Assistant

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our team alongside our experienced Physiotherapy and Nursing staff.

The closing date is 29 December 2025

As a Therapy Assistant, you will assist our team in delivering treatment to patients, working in their own homes or in residential settings. You will work without direct supervision, undertaking tasks delegated by qualified staff and you will be expected to take an active role in coordinating, delivering and evaluating individual patient care.

An ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs is essential; a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be desirable for this community role.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

Main duties of the job

• Implement treatment programmes to patients in the community who have been assessed initially by qualified staff in the Falls and Fracture Liaison Service.
• Take responsibility for an active caseload under the direction of the qualified therapy staff, including treatment of patients in their own homes, clinics, residential and nursing care settings, working as a lone worker.
