Job summary

IBC Healthcare in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Male Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to an adult with learning disabilities in their home and community. The role works within PBS, focusing on routine, confidence, and genuine independence, with dignity and choice at its core.

You will support daily living tasks, community access, and decision-making while maintaining trauma-informed, calm approaches. A full-time, in-home role with comprehensive training is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or behaviours of concern.
• Understanding of PBS and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong de‑escalation, communication and observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support tailored to the individual's needs, preferences and goals.
• Promote independence and meaningful daily living choices.
• Support with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Support medication administration in line with policy.
• Encourage community access and social inclusion according to the person’s interests.
• Follow the support plan, risk assessment and PBS plan consistently.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Collaborate with family, healthcare professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.
