Job summary

IBC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to an adult with learning disabilities in Doncaster. You will work within a PBS framework to help the person build routines, confidence, and independence at home and in the community.

The role requires compassionate care, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will contribute to a person-centred plan, support daily living, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
• Understanding PBS and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong de-escalation and observation skills.
• Calm, patient, non-reactive approach.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
• Experience with personal care when required.
• Belief in the person's right to make choices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support.
• Promote independence and meaningful choice.
• Assist with personal care while preserving dignity.
• Support medication administration in line with policy.
• Assist daily living tasks and budgeting where appropriate.
• Encourage community access and social inclusion.
• Follow the support and risk plans consistently.
