Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Support Worker to join our SEND and SEMH schools. You will provide tailored support to students, promoting emotional wellbeing, social development and learning engagement in line with individual plans.

You will work under guidance from teachers and SENCOs, develop coping strategies, maintain records and collaborate with families and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or therapeutic settings.
• Understanding of SEND, SEMH, or related needs.
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Education or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic support under guidance from teachers and SENCOs.
• Support students in managing emotions, building social skills, and developing coping strategies.
• Assist in implementing individualised behaviour and support plans.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation of interventions.
