Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Specialist to help a pupil with additional needs in a mainstream primary school in Sutton on a full-time basis.

Experience with SEND and a passion for building positive relationships to support pupil thriving academically and emotionally is essential. DBS required or to be obtained, with ongoing CPD and consultant support provided.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school, youth work, care, mentoring or similar setting.
• Understands a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication and interaction needs.
• Is patient, resilient and able to build strong, trusting relationships.
• Has Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school, youth work, care, mentoring or similar setting.
• Understands a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication and interaction needs.
• Is patient, resilient and able to build strong, trusting relationships.
• Can remain calm and positive when supporting pupils who may require additional emotional regulation.
• Is available to work full-time during school hours.
• Holds a relevant qualification in Psychology, Education, Sports Science, Drama, Dance, Child Development or a related field (desirable but not essential).
• Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
