Job summary

Beaucroft Foundation School is seeking a dedicated SEND professional, qualified Teacher or experienced HLTA with SEND/SMSH experience. The role focuses on therapeutic and trauma-informed practice to support complex learners and SEMH needs.

You will lead personalised programmes, foster a safe therapeutic environment, and collaborate with therapists and external agencies to ensure joined-up support, championing THRIVE values and professional development.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified teacher or an experienced HLTA with SEND provision experience.
• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice.
• Able to use therapeutic approaches to support complex learners.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with pupils, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, deliver and support personalised learning programmes tailored to EHCP outcomes.
• Create and maintain a therapeutic classroom environment that promotes regulation, safety, and engagement.
• Use Therapeutic Thinking approaches to understand and support behaviour, fostering resilience and prosocial development.
• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support for each young person.
• Model best practice in SEMH support and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
