Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND/SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Somerset. In this role you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with additional learning and behavioural needs in a trauma-informed setting.

You will work in small classes, build positive relationships with students, and collaborate with parents and external professionals to support each learner’s progress. A QTS or QTLS and at least two years in SEND are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Minimum of two years' experience in SEND/SEMH or similar settings.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed teaching approaches.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and inclusive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
