Job summary

CareTech Lavender Home in Preston area is hiring a Residential Support Worker to provide consistent care for children with complex needs. You will support daily routines, complete care plans, and work as part of a small, friendly team in a homely environment.

Role includes 8 sleep-ins per month, requires a full UK manual driving licence, and training is provided. Salary ranges £36,759 to £37,677 depending on level 3/4, with sleep-in payments and opportunities to progress within CareTech.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care settings is preferred.
• Must be able to work towards a Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care.
• Training will be provided for the electronic care recording system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children receive high levels of support and encouragement.
• Manage 8 sleep-ins per month as part of the rota.
• Support senior staff with timely updates and feedback.
• Work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Promote individuality and avoid a one-size-fits-all approach.
• Complete and update care plans regularly with new requirements.
• Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a homely environment.
• Build meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan activities including day trips, holidays, and creative projects.
