Job summary

Caretech is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to help shape futures for young people in our Lavender home. You will assist with daily routines, education preparation, and activities, while ensuring care plans are current and responsive to each child's needs.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team, building trust and offering encouragement every day. This role requires a full UK manual driving licence and flexibility to cover day shifts with occasional overnight sleep-ins, in a

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is preferred.
• Willingness to develop Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care.
• Must hold a manual UK driving licence.
• Ability to work day shifts with overnight sleep-ins.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable using electronic care recording systems.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, school readiness, meals and activities.
• Keep care plans up to date and incorporate feedback from children.
• Build trust and provide emotional support to residents.
• Collaborate with senior staff and provide timely updates.
• Contribute to a welcoming, homely environment including light housekeeping.
• Plan and participate in activities, day trips, holidays and creative projects.
