Jupiter Recruitment is assisting with an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a small sized children's home in the Derby area. The home will be Ofsted-regulated, supporting a child with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The manager will recruit and lead a therapeutic, child-centred team, ensure safeguarding and compliance, and build relationships with authorities.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential childcare setting with 2+ years in a supervisory/management role.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted expectations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the Ofsted registration and successful launch of the solo home.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a small, dedicated team with a therapeutic, child-centred approach.
• Establish a nurturing and structured environment tailored to the individual needs of one child.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals, and families.
• Embed a culture of reflection, stability and care that prioritises the long-term outcomes for the child.
