Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment seeks an experienced Registered Manager to open and lead a small, Ofsted-regulated children's home in the Derby area, focusing on a child with EBD. You will oversee registration, build a therapeutic team, and create a stable, nurturing environment around one child.

The role demands Level 5 leadership qualifications, 3+ years in residential childcare with 2+ in management, and strong safeguarding/communication skills.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in residential childcare with 2+ years in supervisory/management roles.
• English language proficiency required for effective communication, safeguarding and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Ofsted registration and launch of the solo home.
• Recruit, develop and lead a small, dedicated team with a therapeutic, child-centred approach.
• Establish a nurturing, structured environment tailored to the individual needs of one child.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted.
