Job summary

AWD online is looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a well-established home and contribute to a growing residential service. You will champion child-centred, therapeutic practice and high standards of care in collaboration with senior leadership.

You will oversee quality, safeguarding, resources and staff development while building strong partnerships for each child. Senior leadership support and clinical psychology input will help improve outcomes for children and young

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care leadership for children.
• Experience supervising and managing staff in a care setting.
• Experience managing budgets and resources.
• Experience working with other agencies to safeguard children and support outcomes.
• Experience monitoring and evaluating outcomes for children and young people.
• Direct experience supporting children, families with complex needs in residential care.
• Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the home and maintain a responsive residential service, including out-of-hours arrangements.
• Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, performance, training and staff development.
• Maintain child-centred safeguarding practice and focus on positive outcomes.
• Monitor standards, implement quality assurance and prepare for inspections.
• Manage budgets, buildings, equipment and resources.
• Work with families, education, health, police and other agencies to achieve joined-up outcomes.
• Embed a therapeutic ethos supporting children’s development.
