Job summary

Assist Care Ltd is seeking a Therapeutic Deputy Manager to lead childcare services and supervise therapeutic support workers in line with our policies. You will promote a safe, nurturing environment, ensure regulatory compliance, and support children and young people with developmental needs.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager, participate in safeguarding, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience with looked after children and challenging behaviours.
• Supervisory experience in residential setting.
• Experience with care plans and risk assessments.
• Experience in multidisciplinary settings.
• Willingness to work towards Level 4 Diploma Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager to supervise therapeutic support workers in line with policies.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and legislation.
• Deliver care, support and supervision to children and young people.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment and restorative practice.
• Engage with children to observe and record behaviour.
• Liaise with schools and social workers to support education needs.
• Manage on-call rota and occasional overtime.
