AWD Online is seeking a Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead an established home in Chesterfield. You will champion child-centred, therapeutic practice, oversee safeguarding, quality standards and staff development, and build strong partnerships to secure positive outcomes for each child.

This full-time, permanent role requires extensive residential care leadership, flexibility for out-of-hours calls, and a proactive approach to service development in line with regulations and best

Qualificações

• Strong leadership, team-building, organisation, planning and communication skills.
• Experience supervising and managing staff in a care setting.
• Experience managing budgets and resources.
• Experience safeguarding children and supporting positive outcomes.
• Direct experience with children in residential settings.
• Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Home Leadership and Operations: Manage the home and maintain a responsive residential service, including out-of-hours arrangements.
• People Leadership and Development: Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, performance, training and staff development.
• Safeguarding and Outcomes: Maintain child-centred care, safeguarding practice and a focus on positive outcomes.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor standards, implement quality assurance and maintain compliance with legislation, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements, and prepare for inspections.
• Budgets and Resources: Manage budgets, buildings, equipment and resources effectively.
• Partnership Working: Work with families, education, health, police, communities and other agencies to achieve joined-up outcomes.
• Therapeutic Practice: Embed a therapeutic ethos supporting children’s physical, emotional and social development.
