Job summary

Theatre Technician at Mansfield District Council's Palace Theatre joins the permanent technical team on a full-time basis. The role supports a wide range of productions on the main stage and may assist at Mansfield Museum or offsite venues.

You will provide technical support for professional productions, amateur groups and school shows, brief visiting teams on health and safety, operate and manage lighting during events, and contribute expertise in sound, AV, stage management and rigging.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in theatre lighting.
• Experience in sound, AV, stage work and rigging preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with visiting companies and performers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for incoming professional productions, amateur companies and school shows.
• Brief visiting technical teams and performers on health and safety procedures.
• Operate and manage lighting systems during events, offering expertise in sound, AV and stage management.
