Job summary

Technician role at Southend Theatres within Trafalgar Entertainment in Southend-on-Sea. You will support the technical team across The Cliffs Pavilion, Palace Theatre and Dixon Studio, contributing to productions and events with stage, electrics, projection and sound expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of quality technical support for theatrical productions.
• Strong adherence to Health and Safety at Work regulations and procedures.
• Co-operates well as part of a technical theatre team.
• Clear written and verbal communication with contractors and colleagues.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot across theatre technical disciplines.
• General building maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to manage varying workload calmly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical team across both venues (Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre).
• Provide technical support for productions and events (stage, electrics, projection and/or sound).
• Carry out routine maintenance of buildings and equipment to uphold high standards.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
