Job summary

ATG Entertainment in Woking requires a skilled theatre technician who will report to the Deputy Technical Manager and lead Technicians and casual staff. You will work with the Maintenance Department to deliver technical services for stage, lighting and sound within agreed budgets and schedules.

Based at The Ambassadors in Woking, you will support Rhoda McGaw Theatre, New Victoria Theatre and Nova Cinema, with emphasis on safe, efficient get-in/get-out and high-quality technical support for

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale production stagecraft.
• Experience in theatre crew roles and liaising with production companies.
• IT literacy (Word, Excel) and time management.
• Experience in preventative building maintenance.
• Experience in a commercial receiving theatre.
• Ability to lead a team of technicians and casual staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe get-in, get-out for Rhoda McGaw Theatre and assist New Victoria Theatre during hires.
• Maintain storage areas and ensure equipment is accounted for after each hire.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and inform hirers of facility safety details.
• Operate or supervise staging, lighting and audio equipment and train hirers as needed.
• Coordinate information for each hire across departments in the building.
• Complete paperwork for the venue administrator after each hire to settle charges.
• Assist during performances as Duty Technician or operator roles as required.
• Perform PAT testing and regular risk assessments as applicable.
