The Creative Industries School at Kingston College offers a range of courses from level 1 to level 4, including Art and Design, Media, Music, and Performing Arts. While most students are enrolled in full-time 16-19 Study Programmes, the School also provides Access Diplomas, Higher Education courses, and recently expanded into part-time Adult Education courses. The School aims to further serve the local community by making specialist resources available for hire.
We are seeking a Theatre Technician to ensure the effective operation of the College's ACT Theatre for teaching, internal events, and external hires. Your responsibilities will include managing equipment and stock levels, maintaining the theatre, performance spaces, and workshops to meet health and safety standards. You will also manage the distribution, collection, and return of equipment, assist with repairs, and support lecturing staff and students in an educational environment.
Requirements:
A formal technical or educational qualification is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on annual cost of living reviews.
The role offers benefits including 37 days of annual leave plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year, 5 days of Wellbeing leave, a pension scheme, subsidised sports facilities, professional development opportunities, and a cycle-to-work scheme. Benefits are pro-rated for part-time staff.
