East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Theatre Support Worker to join the Theatre department at Burnley General Hospital. The role involves assisting with patient transfer, basic nursing care, and maintaining a safe, clean surgical environment across sites.

You will rotate through clinical services, work with nurses and theatre staff, and travel to Royal Blackburn Hospital as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for delivering compassionate patient care

Responsabilités

• Check, clean and prepare transfer trolleys for procedures.
• Maintain safe environment, protect patient privacy and dignity.
• Transfer patients between clinical areas and report issues promptly.
• Receive patients, verify details and prepare the clinical area for procedures.
• Support safe moving, handling and positioning of patients.
• Act as circulating person to support the surgical team.
• Maintain stock levels and report discrepancies.
• Document care plans and records per Trust policy.
• Refer concerns about patient safety or safeguarding to senior staff.
• Work across Burnley General and Royal Blackburn Hospital as needed.
