Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Theatre Support Worker to join the Recovery team. You will assist clinical staff, help maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients recovering after surgery.

You will undertake Health Care Assistant Apprenticeship Pathway, complete the Care Certificate, and gain hands‑on training to develop skills within a busy theatre environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in the Recovery department.
• Organise and maintain equipment across the theatre complex.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming recovery environment.
• Support staff with patient care tasks under supervision.
• Perform manual-handling duties and move beds/trolleys as required.
