Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Peri-Operative Health Care Support Workers to join the Warrington Hospital Theatre Team. The role supports peri-operative patient care, intra-team cooperation, and theatre operations within a busy elective and emergency department.

Successful candidates will hold a Care Certificate and will undergo peri-operative competency training. The post is Band 3, with reviews and opportunities for progression through in-house training and

Qualifications

• Care Certificate is required for this role.
• Band 3 post with peri-operative competency training will be provided.
• Experience in theatre settings is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care in theatres as part of the peri-operative team.
• Assist with sterile packs and infection prevention routines.
• Help count instruments, swabs and sharps.
• Complete theatre documentation (digital and paper).
• Assist with setting up a theatre suite and maintain a clean, usable department.
• Complete required e-learning and internal training modules.
