Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking staff to join the theatre team. You will work towards Care Certificate and Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, enabling you to assist with theatre prep and patient care in the operating theatre.

This role supports patients throughout their journey and offers opportunities across the Derbyshire health and social care community, with potential future placements at different locations.

Qualifications

• You will have or be willing to work towards completion of the Care Certificate.
• Must complete within 18 months a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• Training enables theatre prep, patient care in operating theatre and support to staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and cleanliness of theatre for surgery and anaesthetics.
• Provide patient care throughout the patient journey in the operating theatre and support staff at all levels.

Job description

You will have or be willing to work towards completion of the Care Certificate & also must complete, within an 18-month period, a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This training if required will enable you to assist with the preparation and cleanliness of the theatre environment for both surgery and anaesthetics, providing care to the patients throughout their journey in the operating theatre and enable you to support staff at all levels.
This role is part of the integrated health and social care community across Derbyshire, where there are many opportunities to work across different locations and providers developing new and different skills. Whilst this role is initially based in Chesterfield there may be future opportunities to be based at different locations within the health and social care community which we may talk to you about in the future.
