Job summary

Cromwell Hospital, part of Bupa, is seeking a Clinical Scheduling Coordinator to ensure seamless access to treatment. You will coordinate Theatre and Angio scheduling, assess booking requests, and collaborate with consultants, theatre teams and support services to optimise capacity and drive service improvements.

The role focuses on clinically appropriate bookings, operational efficiency and timely communication with stakeholders, contributing to governance and revenue optimisation through

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult), or ODP, or equivalent healthcare qualification.
• Current registration with NMC, HCPC, or relevant professional body.
• Experience in healthcare environment and coordinating complex bookings.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building with clinicians and staff.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with theatre, cath lab, angio or procedural scheduling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Theatre and Angio scheduling across the hospital.
• Review booking requests to ensure clinical and operational requirements are met.
• Allocate, optimise and utilise theatre and procedure slots.
• Coordinate urgent and short-notice cases with stakeholders.
• Escalate complex scheduling queries and operational issues.
• Liaise with consultants, PAs, theatre teams and support services.
• Lead capacity reviews, utilisation monitoring and forward planning.
• Support scheduling process improvements and digital transformation.
