Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses/ODP to join our busy Scrub Team within Day Surgery Unit at Llandudno. Working as part of a team, the role requires a flexible approach to work.

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based patient care. Clinical expertise is utilised during all phases of the peri-operative period. In other areas such at the main site YG when required.

The post holder will work collaboratively and co-operatively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, meeting the needs of the patient whilst under no direct supervision. Assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas, implementing improvements to working practices as identified by audit/clinical trials. Participate in the education and development of other staff members and students.

The Day Surgery Unit operates Monday to Friday, covering surgical specialties such as, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Trauma.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Scrub Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) to join our Day Surgery Unit looking after patients undergoing procedures such as General and Orthopaedic surgery.

Working as part of a team, the role requires a flexible approach to work with the ability to communicate and work well with the wider multidisciplinary team. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
