Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Scrub Practitioner to join the elective Orthopaedics team at Chorley. You will contribute to high-quality peri-operative care, scrub for procedures, and rotate to support other specialties as required.

We welcome registered General Nurses or ODPs with scrub experience, a commitment to patient-centred care, and readiness to work within a supportive teaching environment. An induction and mentorship will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Must be a registered General Nurse or ODP with scrub experience in Orthopaedic surgery.
  • Demonstrates commitment to patient-centred peri-operative care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, delivery and evaluation of peri-operative care.
  • Provide clinical supervision and direction to colleagues and students.
  • Support Team Leaders in day-to-day running of the clinical area.
  • Mentor and develop future healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job

By joining Lancashire Teaching Hospitals,you’llbecome part of a dedicated team covering Elective Orthopaedics and the opportunity to rotate to other specialities

We’relooking for Scrub Practitioners who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centredsurgical care, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and excited to embrace new challenges.

As a valued team member,you’llalso play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring future healthcare professionals, helping shape the next generation of theatre experts.

To support the Team Leaders in the day to day efficient running of the clinical area by providing excellent peri-op care to Patients by maintaining standards of care and professional practice.

Be responsible for assisting in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care to meet the personalised Health and wellbeing needs of patients in line with the Trust Values / HCPC and NMC professional frameworks.

Ensure the productive operation of the clinical area by ensuring that a well organised and safeenvironment is maintained.

Act as a strong role model and encourage and support the professional development of self and others. Provide clinical supervision and direction for all colleagues and students to support them in reaching their full potential.
