Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (NHS) in Llandudno is recruiting a Scrub Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) for the Day Surgery Unit. You will support General, Orthopaedic and Trauma procedures, working with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic theatre environment.

The role requires flexibility to work across units, strong communication, and a commitment to professional development. Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Recognised Anaesthetic qualification (Nurse).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based peri-operative patient care.
• Provide skilled assistance in the surgical care of patients and support in theatres.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and educate junior staff and students.
• Work across Day Surgery Unit and, when needed, Main Theatres to meet demand.
