Job summary

KIMS Hospital Ltd in Kent is seeking an experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary Theatres team. You will work flexibly across recovery and scrub, providing high quality care and maintaining patient safety within the theatre unit.

This bank role offers you the freedom to choose shifts around other commitments, with opportunities to develop perioperative skills in a supportive environment that values your professional development and well-being.

Qualifications

• Be a registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
• Post-registration clinical experience as a recovery and/or scrub theatre practitioner in an acute hospital.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
• Practical experience of change management.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and its application.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily as a recovery and scrub practitioner.
• Assess patient care requirements independently and act as a resource for other staff; implement patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate with Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging to ensure smooth patient care.

Job description

As a Theatre Practitioner you will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Theatres team, work primary flexibly across recovery and scrub, as part of a team to ensure a high standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit. • Work primarily as an recovery and scrub practitioner,
• Assess patient care requirements independently and act as a resource for other staff. Implement patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
• Ensure that patients' comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
• Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework., Take reassurance from knowing that your interviewer can often be as nervous as you. Be polite, honest and open, maintaining eye contact with them. Talk as clearly and confidently as you can and if you don't understand a question, ask for clarification. When answering, focus on positive experiences and be prepared to go into detail about your previous positions and your future aspirations.
