Job summary

Sirona Medical Ltd is seeking an experienced Theatre Healthcare Assistant for weekend insourcing in Scotland, supporting elective surgical and general lists for a NHS/private hospital client. This role offers flexible weekend work with a well established insourcing provider, helping to reduce patient waiting lists.

The position is weekend-only (Saturday & Sunday, 08:00–18:00) with a pay rate of £225.00 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience as Theatre HCA/ODP support in NHS or private hospital settings.
• Sound understanding of aseptic technique and infection control.
• PVG clearance required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare theatres, equipment and instrumentation ahead of lists.
• Support scrub and circulating team during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers and post-operative recovery.
• Maintain stock levels, cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to keep lists running.

We're looking for an experienced Theatre HCA to join our weekend insourcing team, supporting elective surgical and General lists for our client based in Scotland. This is a great opportunity for an HCA who wants flexible weekend work with a well established insourcing provider, helping to reduce patient waiting lists.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing theatres, equipment and instrumentation ahead of surgical lists
• Supporting the scrub and circulating team throughout procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, transfer and post-op recovery support
• Maintaining stock levels, cleanliness and infection control standards
• Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre nursing staff to keep lists running efficiently

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Theatre HCA/ODP support worker in an NHS or private hospital setting
• Sound understanding of aseptic technique and infection control
• Current PVG (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
