Job summary

18 Week Support is offering weekend Theatre HCA opportunities within a busy NHS Urology service in the West Midlands. This role lets you work alongside experienced theatre teams in a well-supported, patient-focused environment while providing flexible additional sessions.

You'll assist in preparation and smooth running of theatre and clinical areas, support the theatre team during Urology procedures, and prepare equipment and consumables.

Qualifications

• Theatre HCA with surgical experience; minimum 6 months in the last 12 months.
• Proven NHS experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and smooth running of theatre and clinical areas.
• Support the theatre team during Urology procedures while ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare equipment, instruments, and consumables for procedures.
• Take and record patient observations as required.

  Currently practising, or has practised, as a Theatre HCA within a surgical setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
