Job summary

Sirona Medical Limited is seeking an experienced Theatre HCA to join our weekend insourcing team in Scotland, supporting elective surgical and General lists for a client. This is a flexible weekend role with a focus on reducing patient waiting lists and maintaining high theatre standards.

The role requires weekend shifts (Sat & Sun, 08:00–18:00). PVG clearance and right to work in the UK are essential, with on-site collaboration with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre nursing staff to keep

Qualifications

• Experience as Theatre HCA/ODP support in NHS or private hospitals.
• Sound aseptic technique and infection control knowledge.
• PVG clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare theatres, equipment and instrumentation ahead of surgical lists.
• Support the scrub and circulating team throughout procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfer and post-op recovery support.
• Maintain stock levels, cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to run lists efficiently.

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Theatre HCA to join our weekend insourcing team, supporting elective surgical and General lists for our client based in Scotland. This is a great opportunity for an HCA who wants flexible weekend work with a well established insourcing provider, helping to reduce patient waiting lists.

• Supporting the scrub and circulating team throughout procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, transfer and post-op recovery support
• Maintaining stock levels, cleanliness and infection control standards
• Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre nursing staff to keep lists running efficiently

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Theatre HCA/ODP support worker in an NHS or private hospital setting
• Sound understanding of aseptic technique and infection control
• Current PVG (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
