Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Modern Housekeeper for the Orthopaedic Theatre at The Royal Derby Hospital. The role involves 6-hour shifts across a seven-day service, maintaining patient privacy and high cleanliness standards throughout the theatre and related areas.

You will work with the Service Provider to plan daily tasks, ensuring a safe, hygienic environment and adherence to infection control principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain privacy, dignity and confidentiality in all aspects of the theatre operations.
• Liaise with Service Provider to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Plan the day with Lead Practitioners to deliver high standards of patient facilities services.
• Clean medical equipment and related items as required.
• Ensure cleanliness standards in the Theatre coffee area in line with contract and Food Hygiene Standards.
