University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Healthcare Cleaner to maintain high cleaning standards across wards and outpatient areas. You will follow National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS, performing damp wiping of fixtures and blinds, and changing curtains as needed.

Shifts include early mornings or late afternoons/evenings, across six posts. The role requires basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills, with awareness of manual handling and infection

Qualifikationen

• Good general education, including basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
• Evidence of basic knowledge of cleaning principles.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning standards for wards and clinical areas.
• Understanding of manual handling techniques.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies including COSHH and infection control.
• Previous healthcare cleaning experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Deliver the highest standard of cleaning service to wards and clinical areas.
• Damp wipe furniture, fixtures, ledges, tiles, blinds and surfaces.
• Change curtains, screens and bed curtains as required.
• Carry out cleaning tasks across the Trust to support a safe, efficient service for patients, staff and visitors.
