Job summary

UHDB in Derby is seeking a part-time Orthopaedic Theatre support role (Band 2) based at Royal Derby Hospital. The role involves supporting non-clinical services within the theatre, focusing on cleaning, catering and minor maintenance to ensure patient facilities meet high standards.

The post is 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8am–2pm, fixed-term for 12 months. Closing date is 2 November 2026; salary is pro rata £25,272 per annum.

Qualifications

• GCSE/CSE or equivalent including English and Maths.
• Food hygiene certification.
• Experience in NHS or customer service.
• Ability to prioritise workload and maintain a clean working environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure privacy, dignity and confidentiality of Trust operations.
• Liaise with Service Provider for a clean, safe environment.
• Plan day’s work with Lead Practitioners and Service Provider to deliver high standard facilities.
• Undertake cleaning of medical equipment and other relevant items.
