Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Modern Housekeeper for the Orthopaedic Theatre at The Royal Derby Hospital. The role is part of the Theatre Team, delivering non-clinical services and supporting patient facilities with cleaning, catering and minor maintenance.

You will work across a 7-day service with 6-hour shifts, demonstrating confidentiality, literacy and numeracy, and a good understanding of infection control.

Qualifications

• GCSE/Maths and English (minimum)
• Food hygiene certification
• Additional role-related training

Responsibilities

• Maintain privacy, dignity and confidentiality for all Trust operations.
• Coordinate with Service Provider to ensure a clean, safe, comfortable environment.
• Plan the day’s work with Lead Practitioners to meet high standards of patient facilities services.
• Undertake cleaning of medical equipment and related items as needed.
• Ensure theatre coffee area meets Food Hygiene Standards and cleanliness requirements.
