Urgently Hiring: Testing & Inspection Electrician - Chelsea
Location: Chelsea
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (12-hour shifts)
Ref: ICR
Reports to: Contract Manager
Are you a qualified Testing & Inspection Electrician with hands-on experience and a commitment to quality and compliance?
Equans is actively seeking a skilled electrician to join our team immediately in Chelsea.
This is more than a maintenance role - we need someone who brings deep knowledge of electrical testing, fault-finding, and compliance in critical environments. If you've served time on the tools and are ready to step into a role where your expertise makes a real difference, we want to hear from you.
Inspection & Testing: Performing and documenting electrical inspections in line with BS7671 and 2391 standards.
Fault Finding & Repair: Rapid response to breakdowns and proactive fault resolution.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Ensuring all maintenance is completed to schedule and fully compliant.
Compliance & Audits: Conducting site audits, maintaining safety protocols, and managing subcontractor work.
Client Interaction: Providing clear, professional communication and timely reporting to clients.
City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent
18th Edition BS7671 wiring regulations
C&G 2391 or equivalent (Essential)
At least 5 years' experience in electrical testing, inspection & maintenance
Ability to read technical diagrams and understand complex systems
A proactive, safety-first mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Mechanical knowledge or M&E background
Experience working in building services or critical environments
Competence with Microsoft Office tools
